Canadian real estate agent, Kyla Weber, whom Vince had been dating for almost a year.  The couple tied the knot on January 2, 2010 at Lake Forest Academy in Illinois.  Vaughn is reported to be very happy with his new bride, having proposed last Valentine’s Day.

Matthew McConaughey and girlfriend Camila Alves welcomed a baby girl just after midnight on January 3rd.  Vida Alves McConaughey came into the world a healthy 7 lbs, 7 0z.   According to his website they chose the name “Vida” because it is Portuguese for “life” and that is what God gave them in this little girl.

Young girls everywhere are undoubtedly even more heartbroken as details from Kevin Jonas’s December 19th wedding are released.  The JoBros father, Kevin Jona Sr help to officiate the wedding alongside with the new Mrs. Jonas’s (Danielle Deleasa) pastor Reverand Ron DePasquale Jr.

It was a true Disney wedding with the scenery being a castle in an enchanted forest and with the bride wearing glass slippers given to her by her new husband and being walked down the aisle to “Bella Notte” from the Disney classic Lady & the Tramp.

Tyra Banks has announced that she will be ending her daytime talk show after this (the show’s fifth) season in order to focus more on Bankable Studios, a film production company.  She said on her website the show is not ending due to poor ratings, but simply because she would rather focus more on Bankable and being able to help make movies.

Banks will also keep up with her hit reality show, America’s Next Top Model which will start its 14th cycle in 2010.

What’s sad about this is that while many will argue that Banks show was nowhere near the caliber of Oprah Winfrey (who will also be ending her talk show next year) now one of the only women of color who has her own daytime talk show is Wendy Williams!!

American Idol winner and country & pop star sensation Carrie Underwood has become engaged to NHL player Mike Fisher after a year courtship.

When asked what her family thought, Underwood replied they knew they raised a smart girl and trusted her judgement.

No wedding date has been set but the couple seems very happy with the engagement.

Friendly warning to Fisher; you heard the song whatever you do don’t cheat on her!!

Tim Robbins and Susan Sarandon in happier times.

One of the first recognized May/December relationships in Hollywood has ended.  Susan Sarandon (63) and Tim Robbins (51) have called off their relationship after 23 years of unmarried bliss.

One of the most shocking things about the news is that they have reportedly been split since the summer; they’ve just kept it quiet before now.  This has also been one of the happier relationships in Hollywood in the last two decades; although the couple has never married they do have two sons together, Jack Henry and Miles Guthrie (ages 20 and 17 respectively) and have always seemed like a perfect couple.  Both share liberal polticial views and neither one has ever appeared to push for the marriage step.

Both actors are keeping quiet about the split; the way the world knew about it was from Sarandon’s rep Teal Cannaday.

Brittany Murphy’s husband as finally spoken out about his wife’s untimely death, stating that “his world [has been] destroyed”.    He said the reason his mother-in-law had gone into the bathroom to check on Murphy was because she had been in there for awhile, causing her to worry.

He also has said that Murphy had seemed sick for a few days and had even contracted laryngitis but he attributed that to the fact that she had made a couple of movies during the year. 

There has been a huge outpouring of condolences to Monjack and Murphy’s family, including her former flame Ashton Kutcher’s Tweet in which he stated “2day the world lost a little piece of sunshine.  My deepest condolences to out 2 Brittany’s family, her husband & her amazing mother Sharon.  see you on the other side kid”.

The autopsy was conducted yesterday and so far there have been no red flags in what could have caused her sudden death.

Actress Brittany Murphy, age 32, was pronounced dead at 10:04 a.m. PT Sunday at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. There is currently no word on the cause of death, although the LAPD has launched an investigation into the cause of death. According to various reports, Murphy’s mom discovered her unconscious in the shower, and immediately called 911. When paramedics arrived, they determined Murphy was in cardiac arrest and administered CPR. CPR was continued while in route to the medical center.

Murphy, best known for her role as Tai in the movie “Clueless”, And the voice of Luanne Platter on “King of the Hill” was fired from her last film, “The Caller” for being problematic on the set. Rumors have swirled that the actress has been deeply involved in drugs, since her May 2007 wedding to Simon Monjack. According to IMDB, Brittany Murphy will have roles in three 2010 films, including, “Abandoned”, “Something Wicked”, and “The Expendables.” Other roles, including the starring role of Charlotte in “Shrinking Charlotte” and rumored role in “Poor Things”, have yet to be confirmed.

So You Think You Can Molest? Or maybe its America’s Best Molestation Crew? Either way it spells T-R-O-U-B-L-E for Shane Sparks (born Melvin Shane Sparks). On Friday morning the LAPD arrested the co-judge from America’s Best Dance Crew Shane Sparks, and charged him with with eight counts of felony child molestation that began in 1993 and lasted until 1997. He is being held on $590,000 bail.

Sparks was charged with six felony counts of committing a lewd act on a child, identified by her first name and last initial as being under the age of 14, “with the intent of arousing, appealing to, and gratifying the lust, passions and sexual desires of the said defendant and the said child.” The alleged incidents occurred between July 1, 1994 and August 1, 1994, December 1, 1994 and August 3, 1995, August 4, 1995 and April 30, 1997 and April 4, 1995 and April 30, 1997. He was also charged with two counts of oral copulation of a person under the age of 16 by someone over the age of 21 for incidents that allegedly occurred between April 4, 1995 and April 30, 1997 and August 4, 1995 and April 30, 1997.
